After a summer of turmoil RFL wooden spooners VVs Laxatives have finalised their list for the 2005 season. New coach Floodney Spew said he had make tough decisions to get the Laxatives back on track "yeah no yeah we're after players who are committed and only 10% of the list could be bothered to keep playing" Spew said. Jilted former coach Danny Unshaw slammed the ruthless Spew "Yeah No No, One day we'll have a player swinging from the Taj Mahal and then we'll realise footballers are people too".

Meanwhile Marquee player Sri Barry Hall has negotiated with the club to be carried by his followers to every training session and home match. Hall covers the 80km on the shoulders of his followers who number around 80,000. Hall started a religion over the summer months which combines the philosophies of buddhism and hinduism with kickboxing.

The players retained by the Laxatives are:
