Subject: I couldn't tape Key Largo as there was a documentary on Industrial Light and Magic on good old Sky, which was a shame as I'm becoming a big fan of Bogart. BBC2 are showing his films all week, aren't they? Don't forget Sierra Madre this time, you boob! I'll post my Enter the Dragon capsule review in the secret clicker - I think I might have posted it before, but screw it...

The reason I scrapped my capsule reviews site is cos they're so badly written, and here's a prime example...

Enter the Dragon **

Dull-as-hell martial arts crawl, which is not only boring but poorly made too. Bruce Lee is a high-kicking agent sent to a mysterious island to enter a fighting tournament run by the bad guy he’s after. The plot, though, really has nothing to do with the movie, since it’s merely an excuse for an endless series of uninteresting fights in which the punches and kicks sound like mousetraps going off. The acting and dubbing is pitiful, and while the villain’s cat stroking number might indicate some level of tongue-in-cheek humour, the film is so tedious nothing can revive it, not even the odd bit of impressive choreography in the punch-ups.
