portable units we bought. We have french doors and we would have to close off the entire window to use the GOOD ones. LOL So we have 2 portable units. One in our room and one in Ems room - and they have been running 24/7 since we put them in because if you turn them off they take too long to recool the room. So we set them for what we want the room to be and it cools as needed and then just runs like a fan the rest of the time. Lauren sleeps in Emily's room when she says its too hot to sleep. She hasn't wanted to do that very often though. We have talked about getting one for the living room and I have even bought a curtain to close off the hall and dining room from the LR BUT we haven't done it yet. The ones big enough for our LR aren't cheap...lol the bedroom ones we got for 160 euro (something like that) on sale.

Chris rides his motorcycle to work so I have the car...I just don't like going new places "alone". LOL This is why I told Chris if he deployed before I felt comfortable enough driving and going into the Italian stores ect without him I'd have to kick his butt. I seem to become more independent (by force) after his first TDY or deployment at a new base. Mostly because if I don't do whatever it is it doesn't get done. Sometimes I need it to get done...lol PLUS, he keeps saying he wants to go to Venice too. We are going to take the train but we just havent gotten that far. We are SUPPOSED to go to the beach this weekend...we will see. LOL
