I e-mailed her to tell her we were headed her way. No response.
So, I e-mailed Garnet to check to see if I still had the right addy. I do. And, Garnet has talked to her about it. She has just chosen to ignore me altogether.
Garnet said she'll have the kids anyway, so we can see them there. I guess I'll see if she'll let them go to Cripple Creek with us. I had thought of doing that trip as a loop...going up High Park road in the morning...doing Cripple Creek, then coming back down Highway 9 to 24...through the one way tunnel and over the passes. My kids would probably enjoy the scenery. I figured we could have dinner in Colorado Springs...at Guiseppi's Depot...the trains go right by the windows as you eat. If I have to have Francie's kids back early, I'll have to change plans.
I'm not sure if they're sleeping at Garnets all week long...it sounded like it when she told me that she has them all week, then they go to their dad's. She said they aren't any trouble, but they are Francie's kids, after all. To me, that sounded like they're just living with her.
I think I'll talk to her and see if she can work it so that they can come spend next summer out here. She said Nicole still talks about us all the time, and really loved e-mailing me over Christmas. I'm sure...she's probably thinking that if she ever manages to escape her nutty mother she'll move here.
So, that's where things stand for now.
Did I tell you Francie and her kids are going to California tomorrow for a week...free trip thanks to her ex-SIL. Last time they went she came back doing nothing but bitching...the only thing they enjoyed was Sea World. I doubt they'll even do Disney this time. Last time it was free, they had VIP passes so they didn't have to stand in line, and she hated it. That says something, eh?
Well, we're headed to the library. We finished our first book lists. UGH. With Liam I always got all 5 done. Last summer Teiguen and I got 5 done...Liam did 1. This year we'll be lucky to get two or three done. I figure next week Teiguen and I can plow thru books...maybe 10 a day so he can finish his lists. Liam will most likely only get 2 done this year. We just don't have the time we used to!
Hope you all have a good afternoon...or, in Brandie's case...a good evening. I see it's after 8 pm there right now! Gotta love the free world clock, lol!
