I had an appointment with the midwife at 4 this afternoon. I have lost another 2-3 pounds in the last week for over 10 in 3 weeks. My bloodpressure is better than it has ever been.

Today I was checked and I was like over 60% effaced and like a 5-6 dialated. The baby is really low but stubborn and I guess I have had pitocin way too many times because my body just doesn't seem to know how to kick over on its own, ugh!!

So the plan is this...since he doesn't look too big and that is a huge concern for us with my history, today she stripped the membranes. It has never put me in labor before but we did it anyway and now I just hurt.

Starting late Friday night or Saturday morning I am going to take some castor oil and and see if that will kick off something a little bit more. I also have a labor tiniture to take a few hours after the castor oil. If that helps we can break my water and that should be it. He is so low that breaking my water should shoot him across the room.

Now if nothing happens after all of that it is off to the hospital for a more complicatred ultrasound and more testing. This won't go on much longer because of my history of big babies. I am almost out of time for my homebirth.

I am happy, sad and a lot frustrated that things have gone on this long and my stupid body can't figure it out without an i.v. bag full of drugs.

If there was anything that worked for you guys pass along your best information to me because I could really use the advice.
