who don't get that the REASON their child is acting awful is because they are reinforcing the awful behavior. A girl at Jo-Ann's yesterday was pitching a hissy fit for an art set. She had to have been seven maybe older and she was throwing a full blown two year old temper tantrum. Mom said no at least 50 times and in the end bought the dang thing.

Teachers at school with constant behavior problems are often the same way. You say X but you do Y and kids aren't dumb.
