Hooray! After the mix-up Monday (the teacher claims the A+ student misunderstood and took him to Sharon by mistake) he had no problems! He did great in school and at t-ball!
Today his teacher told me she's never seen a more focused child. And, I guess on the playground he was entertaining everyone. One little boy was running and fell...then pretended he was dead and couldn't get up. Teiguen ran and got two paddleball games, rubbed the paddles together, yelled "CLEAR!" and revived the kid, lol! I guess all the teachers saw it and thought it was the cutest thing ever. Yep, he sure can be when he wants to be.
We got McDonalds for breakfast today as a celebration. Liam was feeling bad so we just got take-out and ate at school.
Tonight we went to the dollar show to see Ice Age. We had a whole crew of folks come in at the last minute and sit behind and beside us talking LOUDLY in Spanish thru the whole thing. The chick in our row jiggled, bounced, yelled across the room to family members, etc. Finally I turned to them and (I know this won't be spelled correctly....) said, "Caiette, por favor!" The one chick's mouth fell open. I think she thought I'd been understanding the entire conversation. It worked, lol! Good thing. If it hadn't, my choices were to call her one of two bad names I know in Spanish...or ask her for a blouse, a skirt, and carrots. None of that probably would have helped much, rofl!
The dollar show has become a real draw...unfortunately. The people who go there aren't generally folks like us...they're folks who come from a whole different world. One where yelling and laughing loudly all through a movie seems to be just fine and dandy.
Anyway, I need to get to bed. I've been waiting for the dimetapp to kick in. I've taking Claritin, daytime Sudafed, and Dimetapp. Surely something will unclog my sinuses sometime soon here.
I have new sheets that I can't wait to break in, lol! They are a perfect match for my "new" (as in 2 year old) bedspread. Oriental design. Light green. I washed them last night and can't wait to go to sleep. I LOVE new sheets, lol! I should, since I only splurge on them once every 4 or 5 years or so!
Oh, and I guess we made the 5 and 10 pm news. I missed it. Seems Dwayne has terminal colon cancer and they figure he'll die before this ever goes to trial. They set bail at $250,000 because he threatened to kill his daughter and grandkids. I guess this all came out because he wrote a letter to his grandson apologizing. His daughter told Paula that they'll likely sell the duplex to cover his court costs. I don't understand why she's involved. She filed the charges...now she's arranging his defense???? Strange people!
Oh, and spring has sprung. Tonight in the field we had a half dozen deer, a fat lazy possum, and wild turkeys. Welcome to the jungle, lol!
