When they took these pictures the University of Texas had just won the championship and everyone was walking around doing the "Hook 'Em Horns" sign witht heir hands, especially if their parents went there! I am thinking that is what that was all about. It was a huge deal here. I read that even President Bush and one of his daughters flashed the hook 'em horns sign when they were over seas at the time and the press there thought they were flashing the sign that they worshiped the devil. It made the papers there and here and they had to explain what the sign means here.

In Tegan's group all of her class were dressed as the dead brides from the ballet Giselle. The recital was divided up into 3 sections over the course of 2 days at 2 different locations. The little guys had their recital at a different location the next day and I actually only stayed for the day and the section that Tegan was in. Since she only danced ballet this year it made it nice that I could leave when her part was over. All of the ballet groups did famous ballets and they did a piece from the Nutcracker. The studio picks the costumes. When they did the Nutcracker at CHristmas the studio actually has them rent the costumes to save money. I like that the owner thinks these things through. The studio last year didn't care how much money they spent and some of the girls probably spent $1000 for their different classes!!!

I better go see what is going on downstairs. I'll check back a little later.
