He said that since bedbugs don't carry disease, nobody keeps statistics on outbreaks. HELLO???
Anyway, he also said that all the reports he knows of this year are from apartment buildings. ICK! I'm glad I'm not living in an apartment anymore! How gross would that be...to have a neighbor infect a whole building????
So, I feel better about the hotel issue.
I broke down and e-mailed my sister to tell her we'll be in CO. Garnet told me that she and her kids are going to CA next week. Her ex-SIL works there. Last time they went I heard all about what a drag Disneyland is and how they hate the whole state. And, here's the kicker, Cindy works with a travel and tourism board so she got them comp VIP tickets...it was free AND they didn't have to stand in line for rides! And all they could do was bitch about how boring and dumb Disneyland is. I'm sure they'll have a lousy time again. That's my sister for you. Everything with her is always the worst.
Anyway, they will get back the day after we get there. I was hoping Garnet would have the kids, but she said she's had them all summer until this week. They were with her all week, then with Scott on weekends. My sister is such an asshole. How the hell lazy are you to drive 30 miles and dump your kids for 6 weeks weeks.
She used to go on and on about how she loved being divorced because it meant she got regular breaks from her kids. Sounds like she's as big an idiot as ever!
I also think it's interesting that her husband isn't going on vacation with them. Yes, they're going to visit her ex's family, but wouldn't you think you'd want to do a CA vacation as a family? I'm sure Cindy is paying their airfare...she did last time. Maybe she said that this time she'll only pay for Tanner and Nic...and they couldn't afford two plane tickets. Who knows.
I figure I've told Garnet we'll be there...I've told Francie. If they want to see us, it's up to them to make an effort to let me know. One interesting thing, Garnet didn't offer to let us stay with them for a night. You'd think she would. Whatever. I know, I know, if I were a needy pathetic looser like my sister, she'd be glad to raise my kids for me...but since I am capable of taking care of my own family, why bother offering us a room for a night?
Can you tell I'm not in the best of moods?
BTW...they blocked this site from work, so come fall you'll be seeing a lot less of me. I used to jump online at lunch every day. Oh, well.
Teiguen is asleep on the couch. The night of no sleep finally caught up with him. When we got home he stepped on Bud's banana and water pan, so I had to clean and disinfenct the kitchen floor. Next up: washing my comforter. Pray that the robitussin he spit all over it last night comes out! It wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't...it took me 2 years to find matching sheets for it. It would figure if they only went together 2 weeks before one or the other got ruined!
