先看一些數字：根據「國際唱片業協會」（IFPI）最近公布的數據，去年全球有關當局檢獲的盜版音樂CD，達五千萬隻之多，創下新紀錄！比起二○○一年的一千三百萬隻，多出數倍！
這是否表示，在各國當局的努力之下，翻版唱片的泛濫情況經已受到控制？
錯！錯！錯上加錯！
第一錯：檢獲的翻版碟雖多，卻絕不等於杜絕了市面上流通的盜版。而事實是，去年全球賣出的盜版音樂CD數量，亦同時創新高，超過十億枚！整個盜版唱片市場，估計總值四十六億美元（近三百六十億港元），比前年上升百分之七。
較簡單的統計數字：現今地球上每賣出五隻音樂CD，當中就有兩隻是翻版碟！
第二錯：有關當局根本沒有全力打擊盜版。IFPI更點名指責以下十大盜版最猖獗的國家/地區：中國、巴西、墨西哥、巴拉圭、波蘭、俄羅斯、西班牙、台灣、泰國及烏克蘭。
注意：以上排名有分先後。換言之，我們偉大的祖國，正是世界上翻版碟最盛的國家！加埋排第八的台灣，簡直是國共合作、華人之光！
我認為，IFPI的報告大致正確，卻可能只發掘了冰山一角；我敢講，在中國內地每賣出五隻CD，四點九九隻都是翻版！
