一星期後（八月二十七日），火星將會衝向地球！
不是危言聳聽，而是真有其事。不過，所謂「衝」者，乃天文學上的一個現象「火星大衝」，意指火星運行到近日點，與地球及太陽的距離最接近。
雖然火星定時定候都會「衝」一「衝」，但今年（當晚）的「火星大衝」卻非比尋常，皆因到時將會是近六、七萬年以來，火星距離地球最近的一次，「只有」五千五百七十六萬公里！科學家指，下一次如此「近」（勁）的「火星大衝」，要等到二二八七年才會發生；換言之，如無意外大家錯過了今次，今世都唔會有下次了！
你會錯過嗎？有人形容，八月二十七日的夜空將出現「兩個月亮」的奇景！這實在有點誇張，何況當日是農曆七月三十，何來的月亮？
這幾晚你已可開始留意，當太陽下山後不久，比平常大而亮的火星會自東方地平線升起，並在午夜十二時前後到達天頂稍為偏南位置。若你用五十倍以上的望遠鏡，就可清楚看到火星的表面，甚至看到火星兩極的白色極冠。而到了二十七日晚上，火星將會最近最大。
既然火星咁接近地球，一定也是火星人侵略地球的最好時機吧！火星人，快啲現身啦，地球上的事真係悶死人呀！
