一個地方的網吧行業是否興盛，與當地是否流行Online Game（線上遊戲）有着不可磨滅的關係。
釵hOnline Game的玩家，都不會滿足於獨自在家中上網作戰，反而更喜愛聯群隊，與志同道合的戰友聚集在網吧打個天昏地暗；那種在網吧中一呼百應、殺聲震天、有講有笑有嘢食的現場感和氣氛，跟在家單打獨鬥完全是兩回事。
在南韓、台灣、內地等，Online Game玩家人數眾多，都為網吧帶來不少長做長有的生意。釵h網吧老闆也明白到與Online Game絕對是「唇亡齒寒」，故經常主動與遊戲商合辦促鎖活動，實行互惠互利。
可是在香港，Online Game卻始終成不了大氣候，只於電腦發燒友中流行，而未能做到男女老幼皆Online。就以某隻在台灣最流行的Online Game為例，它在台灣有達三百四十萬個會員，同一時間上網玩的動輒有十萬人！年前它斥資數千萬（港元）進軍本港，以年輕女星做代言人大舉宣傳，結果只能吸納不到二萬個會員，實則上網玩的只有三數千，跟台灣的盛況不能同日而語！
影響所及，香港的網吧完全沒有來自Online Game的肥水，自然日漸式微。（二之二）
