猶記得內地開放之初，當港人開始大舉北上深圳活動之際，不少有關深圳治安的傳聞亦相繼浮現，經常成為熱門話題。
最經典的，莫如有關公廁的傳聞，大意是：有港人在深圳公廁方便時被人迷暈，不省人事。若干小時後醒來，卻覺腰間隱隱作痛，赫然有一道刀痕，到醫院檢驗後，證實體內竟不見了一個腎！傳言謂內地器官有價，故有不法之徒專找港人埋手，強「搶」器官拿去販賣云云。
這個傳言，可信度不高，但卻又未必是完全無中生有。之不過，肯定有人故意將之誇大、刻意宣揚，目的是令港人對深圳及內地的治安留下壞印象，變相使北上熱稍為降溫也。
之所以會想起這經典「公廁傳聞」，皆因另一則「公廁傳聞」最近又在網上傳揚；唯今次動機非針對北上熱，而是針對南下熱（自由行）。
大意是：因為自由行的緣故，令本港釵h旺區的治安亮起紅燈。最近在旺區的公廁內，就有一班內地人埋伏，專事洗劫港人；據說匪徒十分殘暴，若事主不肯就範，就會不由分說以利刀狂插之，有港人就曾中招，結果要縫數十針云云。
信不信由你。但信我，類似的傳聞又會開始湧現了。
