每年的聖誕節前後，一向都是玩具的銷售旺季，亦是電腦/電視遊戲（統稱Video Games）的熱賣日子。於是遊戲公司們，總會把他們的年度重頭遊戲作品，留待聖誕前才推出市面，期望能成為一眾玩家/家長的聖誕禮物之選。
據 CNN 網站報道，今個聖誕將在美國上市的最新電視遊戲（包括 PS2、Xbox、GameCube、GBA 等主機，以及 PC 遊戲軟件等），共達二百五十種之多！看到這個數字，真的嚇了一跳！
試想想，雖云聖誕是消費旺季，但一般後生仔在聖誕期間，大概亦只會買兩三個新遊戲而已，會買上五個的已經算是 Game 癡了。現在有二百五十個遊戲一同競爭，其激烈程度可想而知！
芸芸遊戲之中，單單與《魔戒》有關的就至少有三款以上，包括動作冒險遊戲《魔戒三部曲之王者再臨》、《魔戒前傳之哈比人》（The Hobbit），以及戰略遊戲《魔戒之戰》（War of the Ring）等。我想，就算作為《魔戒》Fans，也不一定會買齊三款吧！
可以肯定的是，一年之後，這二百五十隻遊戲將成為櫃底的「珍藏」，被明年聖誕的數百隻新遊戲所淹沒──舊年聖誕玩乜 Game，你還記得嗎？
