Fels Naptha (rather than a substitute like Ivory) being unhappy with the Homemade Laundry Soap. It might be a hard water problem. If you know that you have have hard water you might try adding water softener (in the laundry products section of many stores). Otherwise . . Rather than increasing the amount of soap, you might increase the amounts of borax and washing soda. Last time I made the soap I doubled the amounts of both of those (as a test) and while I haven't decided conclusively if it makes a positive difference or not, it certainly doesn't make a negative difference. I'm inclinced to think it probably does help.
