I use hydrience - though i have used other ones too. One thing I found out.. i have goldne brown hair with red highlights - well GOLDEN anything can turn your hair realllly red. I now just use light brown. I have hard to cover white hair and have to leave the product on for 40+ minutes. the longer you leave it on - the redder it seemed to get. I color about once every 8 weeks or so... one benefit to going a little dakrer with the enw color is grow out isn't quite as noticeable. I have noticed my white hair colors differently and leaves kind of *highlights* in ym hair. I do NOT use any special shampoo so my hair color goes through a natural progression of getting lighter - in fact the first couple fo days I think it's rpetty dark - but for the price Im paying it's worth if for me!

oh yeah - I have very short hair so i dont have to worry about following the directions of reapplying the roots only... by the time I've colored twice I think IM onto new hair anyhow! :-)
