Subject: The Kings Quest part 1

The kings Quest part oneWinter was here. The icy breath of the wind chilled the skin. Mother nature cast her icy spell over the land. The ground shimmered in the pale sun and nearly blinded the eye. Trixaton the Feirce and his might horde of elite soldiers plowed through the snowy road. This tyrant was a ruthless brute. He killed all who opposed him, and betrayed all his allies. Trixaton was a feirce badger. He was clad in armor with a huge axe at his side ready to attack. Trixaton was once a badger of Salamandastron, but he was changed. One day a terrible battle broke out at Salamandastron. A stray arrow that was out of control struck his mother through the heart, killing her instantly. His mother was the only one he had, for his father had died in a sea battle. Trixaton turned from a bright young badger, into a feirce killer. He would have fits of rage. One day he killed his own foster mother. They kicked him out of Salamandastron forever. From then on his life was filled with murder, violence, and horror. Silently he gathered power and created an army so great, not even the strongest forteress in the world could withstand them. Trixaton was heading for Redwall abbey. He would have dreams of the moment his mother was killed. He saw the creature that shot the arrow, dressed in a green habit. These horrors haunted him. A heavily armored stoat named Blood Tooth marched up from behind Trixaton."Lord we have found a miles stone, Redwall Abbey is only twenty more miles"."Good, those abbey dwellers are going to have a little visit from Lord Trixaton!" Trixaton said malaciously."Stop the troops and set up camp for the night" said Trixaton to Blood Tooth. Blood Tooth nodded and went over to a wolf with a large horn. Blood Tooth murmered into the wolf's ear. The wolf blew the horn three times signalling to set up camp. In only and hour the tents were set up all around and a large bon fire was going. Trixaton was sitting in his tent on a elagent wooded armchair sipping elderberry wine. Half Moon the Seer walked in with her silken robes dragging across the ground. Half Moon was the most beutiful fox in Mossflower. Trixaton used her in his work. He would send her out to the enemy, steal their heart, and then murder them. Once she entered the tent, Trixaton could small her intoxicating perfume."Trixaton, shall I go out to scout ahead?" She asked."Thats fine" replied Trixaton"Give me the information that you find when you through"."Thank you my lord" said Trixaton."By the way have you had any visions?" Questioned Trixaton. Half Moon shook her head and disappeared behind the tent flap. Trixaton grinned and took a sip of wine. He smiled as he thought of ways he could kill and torture they abbey dwellers when he got there."Revenge is sweet" he murmered grinning wickidly as he took another sip of wine."Very sweet".
Half Moon silently walked through the forest. Her moves were so graceful she seemed to nearly glide across the snowy ground. Her feet faltered not even once as she padded silently to a ditch at the end of the forest that led to a dirt road. There in front of her was the famous Redwall Abbey. It's stained glass windows and red stones were magnificint. She went up to the front gate. The doors had strips of metal on the edges and iron nails hamered into the door in the shape of a R on one door, and on the other door their was a shape of an A. From her pocket she produced a small but sturdy rope with a grappeling hook at the end. Half Moon spun it around a little and then tossed it up. It caught hold of a red stone gargoyle with a loud clank. She winced as the noise rang out into the forest silence. But no one heard it so she continued on and grasped the rope firmly. She placed her feet on the wall and slowly started her long acent to the top of the gate. Suddenly two voices rang out, turning her blood cold."Brother Jonathan, did you hear that?" Asked a mouse in a strange accent." I did, what was that? whatever it was it was flippin loud wot!" Replied a hare. She saw a head peer over one of the battlements."Brother Jonathan! Get the bow theres a fox down there trying to climb the wall!" Yelled the mouse. She heard the hares footsteps to the gate battlements. Half Moon scurried down the rope and ran as the hare fired an arrow that grazed her left ear. She ran until she could no more hear their shouts. Her breath was heavy and dry. She finally got back to the camp and hurried into Trixatons tent. Trixaton was asleep in his bed snoring loudly. She woke him up and said "They saw me!"

Back at Redwall Abbey, every creature was awake and in the cavern hole. Abbot David was sitting in a over stuffed armchair. He was dressed in a green habit and wore a pair of half moon spectacles which were perched on the tip of his nose."We must all calm down! We do not know if this was a real attack or not!"-"But Abbot why would somebody be climbing our wall if they meant no harm?" Asked a dormouse named Spritz."I don't know..." Whispered David."But still, this does not mean we are having a full scale war!" Cried Fillia a vole mother."Quiet!" Yelled the Abbot. Everyone froze. They had never seen their abbot yell like that."Everyone, We will have Fendo and the skippers patrol the walls. Until then I want life to go on. Know go back to the dormitories! I want to speak with Fendo, Fabb, Liffleton, and the skippers". Everyone silently left the room and marched up the stairs. Only Fabb, Fendo, Liffleton and the skippers." All of you, prepare for battle"
A small squirrel named Hessa was waslking through the mossflower woods. It was early morning and the sun was slowly creeping up the horizon. Hessa was a very intelligent squirrel. She could think of ingenius inventions. But she had one draw back, she was very weak. Hessa's father was a strict beast. He was always incouraging Hessa to climb a tree or swim in the river, but Hessa never did. Hessa's freinds called her Hess for short. She was out by the riverbed looking for watercress for her mothers famous watercress salad. Hess carried a basket that was already full of watercress. But she saw something curious in the water. She went closer and found that it was a little gold statue. It looked like a snake crawling up the dead stump of a tree. She dropped her basket and ran back to her village. Hess's village was small. Each house was built inside a hollow tree. At the bottom of each tree was a small green door. Once tou went into the hollow tree you go up a vine ladder and onto a balcony built with the branches. There were many vine bridges and ladders that led to other trees and to even higher in the tree. At the very canopy was a platform with walls built around it and a canvas roof. Inside were hammocks that they slept in. Hess ran to her tree at the very center of the village. Her house was very large, but was very messy. They had a underground basment where they stored their old belongings, and their ale and wine. Hess climbed up the ladder onto the first platform were her father was fixing a broken vine ladder."Papa, I found this in the river" Hess said holding up the golden statue."Her father gasped and snatched the statue from her."Hess, go to your room, I need to talk privatly with your mother" Hess's father said in a stern voice. Hess darted away up the staircase to her room. Her room was small and crowded. The creaking floor was covered with leafs since she hadn't sweeped them out and huge books were stacked all around her room. A small hammock was set up in the corner by a desk cluttered with quills and scrolls of parchment. Although all this Hess liked her room. She collapsed into her hammock and wondered why her father was so mad. Was it the statue? Did it mean something? Hess questioned herself and thought for a long time. Finally she peered out her window at the giant sundial set up in the village center. It had one large stick in the middle and twelve sticks around it. The large sticks shadow was on the sixth stick. She decided to go downstairs and see what was going on. Down on the platform the cheiftan was talking with Hess's father."This is serious, very serious. We'd better send a messenger to Redwall" said the cheiftan."I'll call down Hessa. Hess..." he turned and saw Hess on the third step of the staircase. Hess's father saw her and said with a mean expression "Have you been eavesdropping?"
