Subject: deaf Dogo adopted

HI all- Just wanted to introduce myself. I currently have 3 toy dogs & am adopting a deaf Dogo that has been in my friends rescue for over 1 year. I just tired of him being there so when I move I will take him with me. I now take him out weekly for walks/hikes. He is a very smart dog & I just love the deaf Dogo. I am learning sign language & so is Oppih. Thanks all for the flashlight tips as a substitute for the clicker. Oppih has been BEAR tested & came up totally deaf but I swear he has some hearing. Just the other day we were in the car sitting at a light with 2 lanes of traffice going & a person was trying to start their chainsaw, the first attempt Oppih lifted his head off the car seat & growled. As soon as the chainsaw stopped he stopped his growl, then the chainsaw started up again & up popped his head & a growl. anyway, it can't be chance that over all the road noise, the chainsaw starts up & he decides to lift his head & growl. There was no visual human since it was dusk to dark.
Well anyway he is a fab dog & will now always be fascinated with the deaf dog.

katie
