I have worked as a trainer at Petsmart. It is supposed to have the same program all over the nation, and the curriculum is top notch. Some Petsmart trainers are fantastic and some aren't. Sounds like the one you've got has some really excellent experience with deaf dogs, and I'd definately take that puppy class. If you like the trainer after the first class, I encourage you to take the basic and advanced classes with that trainer. Then, consider getting your dog tested for his CGC (the trainer can tell you about that.)

You're taking all the right steps, so I think you'll have a lovely life with your new baby.

Good luck

-Kristin
