i am trying to trace my family tree all i know of my grandmother is that her name was margaret mcdonald born 1/5/1901 her mother died while she was very young and her father left her at leyfield convent .if anyone knows where i can get information on the convent or knows anything of margaret it will be be most grateful.

i seem to remember being told he was a sailor that there is some connection to india .margarets family where well off but disowned margarets mother because they disaproved of the marriage.
