We are trying to trace my grandfather's family (John Carter Plunkett) before my mother's 90th birthday at the end of February. We know that Mum's grandfather was Wm Edward Plunkett and that he and his 2 brothers were pilots for Frederick Leyland. They lived in Kirkdale in the 1870s and 1880s. Mum's father (John) was supposedly apprenticed before the mast and sailed around the world etc. before leaving to settle in Australia 1911. John had a sister Nell (Helen) who died a nasty death before she was 20. Can anyone help please?
Pam
