Hi Megan, only just found this board. I and my brother were sent to a children's home because our Mom was ill and Dad was serving away in the army at the time. this would be about 1938-9 We were sent to Olive Mount Children's Home and that is at Childwall, close to the five ways. Hope this helps. Don't think Olive Mount is still a children's home but the buildings were still there when I visited Lpool about 5yrs ago. I think it is now a school of some kind.
