but if I had to chose one, it would be Tejada, not that the A's would be willing to give him up. However, they had said they were not going to re-sign him though they have sort of retracted that statement. It would make sense for them to try and get something for him rather than lose him out right to FA. But as you said, the A's have a shot at winning the WS this year and probably would not be able to do it without Tejada.

I think the realistic scenario is that they go after a middle tiered SS to either start or give them depth until Jeter returns.
