1) I think he has just worn out in the NBA. He's so intense and nuts that it seems like he has just had enough. A move to UNC would revitalize him

2) He has admitted that he has trouble with the # of games in the NBA. He's such a freak that he's better with fewer games

3) The style he likes to play is more suited for the college game. His teams in Seattle were always great defensively during the regular season but struggled in the post-season - that trapping style D works well when teams don't specifically prepare for it but in the playoffs when teams had time to prepare it wasn't nearly as effective.

That said, I would still take Larry Brown before him. I gotta think Larry Brown would wet himself for the job. Larry Brown will have coached at Kansas, UCLA and UNC - pretty impressive.
