who cares if anyabody takes me sereiously. what's really sad though is that nobody seems to take any of these arabs seriously when they tell us the "root cause" of terrorism.

here is a phychiatrist in Gaza who iw dealing with mental helath problems of palestinians and he tells bob simon on 60 minutes that there are more terrroist now than before the "war on terrorism" and you and everybody else dismisses the statement out of hand.

i heard dubya bush the other day saying that we are winning the "war on terrorism" and we will eventually eliminate terrorism. well i have news for him. it ain't gonna happen. there is absolutely no way that we will win the war on terrorism any more than we will win the war on drugs or poverty. this is now a condition of life that we will have to learn to deal with on a rational basis.

i expect that mr. bush is aware of these "facts of life" and therefore, when whe says that he will eliminate terrorism he is lying. this is a lie which is much more serious than a lie about having sex with someone.

from time to time (and quite frequently) i hear about all these terrorist plots that have been foiled by our exhaulted dept. of homeland security. well the only ones where the alleged perpetrators have been identified are that padilla guy, the shoe bomber and those guys from buffalo. padilla is being held incommunicado and while the buffalo guys claim to be innocent they have pleaded guilty to lesser charges because they say they can't get a fair trial.

so all the rest remain unidentified and are being held incommunicado. we are taking alledged al quaida leaders and others into custody all over the world. what are they doing with these people? they aren't putting them on trial. who says they are guilty of anything?

when things like this happen in places like iraq, argentina and the phillipines, we call it crimes against humanity. when we do it, nobody seems to care.

these are all things that people ought to be taking seriously.
