Save me, Jeebus. I can't believe you used the word "nuance" below because you clearly have no clue as to what the word actually means.

I was talking about the inherent and original values of an educational institution, at least nominally active for the public weal. I know that you don't have a fucking clue about value that is in any way unrelated to either what comes out of your pocket or appears on a sales chart of God's Holy Fruit Company but, believe me, some people do.

But since your world is completely black-and-white in terms of money and everything else (Did you grow up on a one way street or something? Is this a learned behavior or something internal?), let's talk your twisted version of reality: Brandon raised prices. Then Brandon spent money. It's that simple. No one built a Gothic cathedral to play lacrosse in and then decided they'd have to screw the football ticket buyers in order to pay for it. Just for your edification, the most recent numbers indicate that only a bit over 50% of the department is funded by football, believe it or not; so just a bit short of the "entire".

And don't cloud your obsessiveness by deciding to play the "poor players" card, either. It's manifest in your posting history over the years that you could give a shit less about the welfare of the kids running around for your entertainment (Austin Hatch ring a bell?) You want to see them get paid? Fine. So do I. Will you be willing to pay another $300 a year to make it happen? Even better, since we both agree that salaries are too high, would you be willing to put a cap on football coaching salaries in order to pay the players what they should be getting? That means we probably won't get the best coach which may hurt the team's performance. And that's what you're really interested in, isn't it? Denard could be living on a street corner and you wouldn't give a fuck as long as the current team was keeping your Saturdays filled to your expectations and you could jerk off knowing that Michigan had won another title.

See, I was talking about principles and ideas and the consideration of how some extremely non-profitable ideas may still be worthwhile in a modern society. But all you boiled it down to was someone clinging to an old fight song that doesn't say anything about dollars and therefore isn't worth shit. I understand that higher concepts may be beyond you but some of us actually like to engage them at some point. It's called "discussion" and can actually be pretty invigorating when someone isn't throwing the equivalent of a 2-year-old's tantrum every time he sees a picture he doesn't like.

So, here's the thing: I left the last board at least in part because of your endless stream of caustic bullshit. I'm not leaving this one, so I will gladly excoriate the fuck out of you every fucking time you post here, if that's what you want. I'd rather not, but I'm fed up with your asinine, monomaniacal behavior. I've done my best to ignore it for a couple years now and the first time I try to engage you in a serious discussion, you misrepresent my words to attack AZBlue again. So, we can have it out every damn day, with me calling you on the carpet for your obsessive pouting and crying, if that's what you want. I'm fine with it. It'll be just like the old days with Thullen around. He was a fucking monotone idiot, too.
