GFO1- Tricks (Include description of tricks performed)
Dark Eagle in the West's Trick Routine: I ask her 'Do you know how much I spent on this show?' She's learned the word "spent" as a voice cue and shakes her head no. Then I say, "Neither do I. I have to work it out." I pretend to count on my fingers, muttering "Hmm... add up that and that.. then multiply..." I look up and ask her "Can you do me a favour?" She's learned the word "favour" and nods her head yes. "What's three times two?" She counts to six by tapping her hoof. I say "Thanks" (another voice cue) and she lifts her front hoof. We shake hands, then leave the arena.
GFO2- Costume Contest (Include description of costume)
Dark Eagle in the West - Dressed as an eagle, with huge Pegasus-like wings strapped to her saddle and feathers plaited in her mane and tail. At first, she refused to wear the beak, because it was attached to her bridle's noseband and she didn't like it - I managed to convince her to wear it by gluing it onto a nosebag instead, which I filled full of oats! She's now too busy munching to worry about the beak!

GM6- Tricks (Include description of tricks performed)
Flamenco's Trick Routine: I ride her into the arena, then look around as if amazed to see people. I tell her "Look - there are people! Don't be so ill-mannered!" She bows to the judge, appearing obedient, then rears. I yelp in surprise, making it look as if I can only just sit the rear. "Flamenco, what kind of horse are you?" As she lands, I give the cue for the Spanish Walk. As she begins the Spanish Walk, I laugh - "A Spanish horse. Of course. You've got an answer for everything!" We walk a circle in the Spanish Walk, then she bows again and we leave the arena.

GM7- Costume Contest (Include description of costume)
Flamenco - Dressed as a Spanish dancer, with long ribbons plaited into her mane and tail and tied onto her bridle. There are pieces of frilly fabric wrapped round her legs to mimic a dancer's frilly dress (that took some getting used to! She kept shying at the sight of her own knees - good thing she's used to them now!)
