Uh, because it's a soap? Because the spoilers are sensationlized to begin with and then further distorted by whosever posting them, but what happens on the screen is usually different?
I really like how they're doing this story. They're not just provoking heterosexual presumptions, they're also poking lesbian ones. People are getting bent out of shape, but nothing is actually occurring on the screen. And I know that the story is going to be on for a very limited time and everyone who's hysterical now will miss it when its gone and look back and think, man, we had it good.
And I try to imagine what it was like for people following Helen & Nikki, particularly through season three and realize there's nothing even remotely close to that here as far as challenges and obstacles to their relationship is concerned.

sadly u are right. I am down to watching like twice a week now because i am just tired of it. U are right a soap is a soap and what more can we expect? I read somewhere that eden wants to leave again anyway. {sigh} i will stick with fanfiction online. :}
