Subject: The Ledge

The Skydeck at Sears Tower (oops, that's the Willis Tower now) opens The Ledge. You can now step out of the Tower and look down! It's like a big glass box/bay window - glass on three sides and glass up and below (yes a glass floor). They got the idea because window washers were always wiping forehead prints off the skydeck windows. Folks were trying to look down. Yesterday was preview day for the press and a few other visitors. Of course, the kids not only looked down but jumped up and down on the glass floor.

No I wasn't there. I saw it on the news. I believe there are four ledges. So come to Chicago and step off! :0)
