I saw a snippet of the First Show. I think Oprah devoted two shows to it. Oprah did get to go in but I think it was the Convention Center not the Superdome. Last I heard the Superdome is still flooded and with the roof damage it may have to be torn down.

Before Oprah went in the mayor had her state on camera that she wouldn't hold him or the city liable for anything once she entered. She was warned to keep her mouth and nose covered and not touch ANYTHING! I was just flipping channels and happened to see that part. Haven't watched Oprah in years.

Not exactly related, but it's almost laughable how many Americans are so SHOCKED at what happened at the Superdome and Convention Centers. That's the kind of violence that many poor communities (esp. in urban areas) experience on a regular basis. It was just compressed into a few days with a National Audience. A glaring petri dish of nastiness for all to see.

If busses could gather New Orleans residents and take them to the Superdome, why not further away? I'm beginning to really believe it was because no one wanted "those people" bussed to them. :-(

Oh well, they say Chicago has 100,000 gang members. Should make for interesting TV if something happens here.

Um...no I'm not buying a gun. Just stocking up on twinkies. ;)

P.S. No cracks about how with those twinkies I wouldn't need a gun. :P
