When they plotted to destroy the levee and uproot the poor folk I guess they miscalculated and flooded downtown New Orleans. They also missed some other poor neighborhoods that are completely dry.

Interesting that just this evening on Nightline there was a story about the two flood walls - one on the New Orleans side and one on the Jefferson Parish side. (I think that was the name.) The wall held and Jefferson Parish is dry. The people there are coming and standing on ladders to look across the expanse that separates their wall from the New Orleans wall. It may be true that the New Orleans wall didn't have the funding to keep it in good repair but that often happens esp. with poor areas.

I do agree that FEMA and others don't know how to relocate people or even keep track of them. A conspiracy of incompetance that isn't so secret.
