Who would have imagined that it would cost so much to scan a CAT?

I had a CAT scan last month and an MRI this month. I had to pay for both of them myself. My insurance has a high deductable so both scans were under $1000. The good thing about the scans.....there is a brain in there! and here I thought it was just cobwebs and sawdust.
