【明報專訊】馬會過往曾不止一次公開表示，若「精英大師」昨日成功做到 17戰連勝，便可超越美國馬王「雪茄」的 16連勝舊紀錄，創出新世界紀錄，但馬會昨承認這說法是錯的。

馬會消息證實，最近向「健力士世界紀錄大全」申請增設「連贏最多頭馬的馬匹」的紀錄時遭到拒絕，理由是百多年前歐洲已有一匹女馬王「 Kincsem」曾創出連勝 54場的紀錄。換言之，若精英大師要真正破世界紀錄，恐要再連勝 38場。

其他名義申請 馬會﹕遲點再說

對於精英大師不能破世界紀錄，馬會發言人鄭國銘昨否認馬會感到失望，他強調，精英大師能連勝 17場，表現已極為傑出，牠除打破香港紀錄，亦令港人感到光榮。當記者追問馬會會否再與健力士方面聯絡，研究可否以其他名義為精英大師申請世界紀錄（如申請成現代賽馬史上連勝最多的馬匹），鄭氏回應指「遲點再說」。

百年前匈裔馬王 4年連贏 54場

據資料，匈牙利血統的女馬王 Kincsem於 1876至 1879年間，因曾在 5個國家連贏 54場，故被列入健力士世界紀錄大全，成為歷來連勝最多場賽事的馬匹。
