ザッツザプレンティ引退、種牡馬に

　０３年の菊花賞馬ザッツザプレンティ（牡５、栗東・橋口）が右前脚の屈腱（けん）炎を再発させたことにより、６日付で登録を抹消された。１日に天皇賞に参戦したが１０着に敗退。翌日になって脚元が腫れ、熱を持ったため検査を受けた結果、右前脚屈腱炎と診断された。昨年の宝塚記念後に屈腱炎を発症したのと同じ個所だが、症状は今回のほうが重度なことから、競走生活を続けるのは無理と判断され現役を引退することになった。今後は種牡馬となる。通算１６戦３勝。菊花賞のほかに０２年のラジオたんぱ杯２歳Ｓ（Ｇ３）を勝った。
