The stallion compleatly ignored the mare, his full attention turned on the human. He continued to kick out, moving her further away from his mate.

Malakeh nuzzled the foal as it stood and took in its first meal. SHe looked at her mate, pools reflecting her affection and called out shrilly, before taking off at a slower gallop, her foal keeping pace, though struggling.

Ashquar turned his dial at the call and raced after the mare through the dense folage. He caught up to her, staying behind her keeping lookout for the human. They were headed back to the safety of the herd, Amira would have halted the herd in a safe position to wait for her parents.
