The paint was kicked in the head and neck and shoulder, the pain was overwhelming. He hit the ground a third time, but didnt make an attempt to even stand. He had lost her, his only mare, he had lost.

The mare whinnyed as the stallion came after her. Backing away, trying to get away from him. But feeling the nip she looked at the paint, wishing she could stay with him. She reluctenetly followed her new stallion. Looking back she made eye contact with the paint, he looked at her, as if promising her something...
