 *~*A small herd of horses runs in and quickly settles down to graze. A stallion quickly circles them all checking that none were left behind in their flight from the last lands. He let out a scream as he reared up warning any who threatened the herd.*~*

*~*the stallion pranced around to excited to eat though his stomach protested her searched the horizon this was human lands and he didn't doubt people would come after them. There was no time for the pleasures of food*~*

*~*the boss mare walked through the herd ears pinned lividly. She bit at the foals that played about and kicked the mares as they tried to fight her. She quickly shoved her way to the edge of the herd where a single small foal played. She went over it whickering gently but aother mare quickly drove her baby away. The lead let out a scream and reared in the air. Her own baby had died after it ran blindly into a tree on their last flight. She had had to leave the body behind to the cougars. She let out a pitiful call and lowered hewr defeated head*~*

The boss mare shoved past her with a hardy bite and Mardi kicked out at her landing a sturdy kick on the mare's rump. She had been the lead once. Ears pinned she went back to grazing quietly*~*

*~*the two bachelors fought outside the herd. It was only by the lead stallions grace that he had permitted them to follow his herd on their flight. They knew however that they couldn't steal his mares. he had already taught him that lesson*~*

*~*the stud cautiously avoided Pride. He knew soon his sire would ban him from the herd and he would join the other two bachelorsd but he wanted to prolong it.*~*

*~*the mare pranceds about the two fighting bachelors. SHe loved tempting them. She was always causing mischief in the herd but she knew she was the strongest mare and could protect herself. She looked upon the horizon and reared letting out a scream...a challenghe to anyone who tried to conquer her*~*

*~*the mare raced about tail flagged head held high she slowed as she came by pride and lowered her head in submission to her stallion. The stud dippied his head in agknowledgement and she rqaced on*~*
