As the sky darkened to a navy blue colour the large black stallion stood atop of the grassy hill where his herd grazed below.His brother stood a few meters behind showing his was of no importance.The black stud watched his herd for a few moments then looked up at the sky, it tuned darker by the minute.it was getting towards the time when cougars came to attack.He reared up and whickered loudley echoing around his terratory.he wanted the herd into a group so they were safe.He looked around for his mare, jewel who was expecting.

"jewel? m'dear are you here?"

The brown stallion stood back from his reining brother.he shook his head and looked at his brothers mares in envy.He wouldn't chalenge him for them, he had promised not to.He grinned.He turned and cantered around.
