Stallions optics scan the area, spotting the herd. He canters closer until optics take in the sight of the stallion. He then steps back a bit, a few yards away yet. He lowers his dial to graze, he thought that this wouldnt alarm the stallion and he could get closer to the herd. He looked around and saw the colt and filly. Stud knew very well that a few months after giving birth, mares come back into heat. He would wait around until then, for now he would let this stallion remain leader.
