please feel free to email me, I'd love to brainstorm with you about your ds. You can also visit the board on pp, although it's the yucky format, we're not as busy of a board & it's easier to handle. Carol Gray does social stories & has several books out about them. ALso "thinking in pictures" by Temple Grandin. She is an autistic woman, very intellegent, who shares some of her growing up experiences as well as lots of info about how she thinks. I can so relate to wondering where the autism manual is that should have come with my kid!!! Early intervention has a certain # of days to get all of their services into place. Look over your paperwork, it should be 30 calendar days or 45 business days. Call & remind them if they've gone over that, it needs to be done asap. I'd also ask, if you haven't about sending you to conferences. Lots of folks like Temple Grandin & Carol Gray do speaking tours & information from these conferences can be invaluable. As well as a resource for finding other parents in your area. hth
