with the world in such a state of unrest, with all the problems between different countries and etc. why can't we get along with each other in the pageant system? Our goal should all be the same, encouraging our beautiful young ladies to be the best they can be. What kind of example are some of you setting for developing young minds. Winning is wonderful but let's face it everyone cannot win the crown, but everyone can gain experience, knowledge, friendship, and many other things. If we bicker among ourselves our children will do the same to each other. I have been in the pageant circuit for almost 19 years. I have been there and seen it throughout the states of ga., s.c., fl, and ala. Yes there are cheaters everywhere you go even church, but don't run down a group of people or a particular pageant just because you are not in agreement with what they do. Just think of how many fly-by-night pageants there are and how they just take the money and run and never let the winners benefit from their victory. You know our mothers use to teach us if you cannot say something good about someone or something don't say it. Now a days it seems people have no self control. What comes up comes out. Remember no one is perfect. Just think of the thought of treating everyone like you would like to be treated. You know we don't always see the bad ones get it, but God sees everything and everyone for what they are. The next time you start to run down someone think about how you would feel if they were talking about you.
I love pageants and will continue to work to help young ladies feel good about themselves. Pageants are not all about ME. They are about helping someone else.
Let's help each other.
