And yes Laclede's Landing would be another good party area to check out, -- the Westport area would be the more uspcale yuppity type cultural area whereas the Landing would be more the college student crawl.

The Old Spaghetti Factory is pretty decent eating if it's still around down at the Landing and yes the Botanical Gardens are quite nice. I believe they're a rather nice remnant from the days when St. Louis hosted the World's Fair circa the turn of the century. The Art Museum has a nice view of the old Fair Grounds as well.
