i've seen a ton of tribute albums for dylan, but i can't recall ever seeing a raggae one. i'm sure they pull it off quite well. i've heard much of his music translated into other forms. actually, i saw him in toledo on his last tour, and his new band turned many of those old tunes into straight hard rock songs. they had a different flare to them for sure. old bob rocked out at his key board the entire night. he never picked up a guitar once.

on a related note, i just traded some ryan adams shows for some dylan bootlegs. i hope to receive them next wk or the wk after. this dude hooked me up with five different shows. two of them were from the 2000 european stint, one was from the states, and i think one was from 97 and the other 96. i can't recall right off hand. regardless, i'm really stoked to get my hands on some live material, outside of the officially released bootlegs, which kick ass.

right now i've been living off of his time out of mind album and various other ditties. in particular i find myself really loving "girl from the north country", "momma, you've been on my mind", "tomorrow is a long time", and "tonight, i'll be staying here with you." great tunes.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
