i think the kids were really interested in it. i had one girl make four or five people take it, including her parents to see what they scored in the various areas. i'm not sure if it translated into any deep seeded understanding between them, but it was a topic of conversation at least once she said.

the others dug it as well, i think. their ensuing papers had to delve into how their personality type reflected on their self concept or how it affected their interpersonal relationships (the class is a communications class.) they provided some good insight in applying the information to their lives with the examples they used overall.

most kids that age will throw themselves into something that is about them--the introverts especially are guilt of that one. the one reaction that is pretty standard is that they would never guess a simple test like that would be able to nail their personality so accuarately. there was only one girl who struggled a bit with the results, and she admitted to not really understanding some of the questions, so she was simply throwing a stone to see what popped up.

i'm really glad you posted that because it fit into what we did quite well. thanks for that.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
