Subject: does she have an opinion?
In reply to: Lawshark 's message, "It's not that Laura needs to get a job..." on 13:42:28 05/10/05 Tue

it sounds like you have given this quite a bit of thought already, what seems to be her preference? i have no idea about your interests, current job satisfaction, financial situation, and the like. i'm guessing you are living comfortably where you are at, and it seems like you like it in maine. where do you think you and your family would be happiest? money issues aside and all of that.

i guess i'm not the best to speak here. i'm guessing this is one of the areas where we have much different perspectives. considering my profession, money means fuck to me in the end. it's an easy attitude to have knowing i'll never see an abundance of it. i know it's not a pragmatic view of the world, and that is what i mean about our views being different on the topic. i think it is much more important to find a place where you are comfortable, where your family is happy, and let the rest take care of itself.

it kind of sounds like a central issue is whether she works and makes a considerable amount of money or whether she doesn't and takes care of the kids, which seems pretty important to you both. i know the subject is a complex one, but personally i try to boil things down to their simplest terms. i guess that's easier said than done considering i face the decision between two different harleys i'm eying at the moment. i'm about to take the leap, i think.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
