... to when the Bengals put a third year band of motley expansion castoffs (and not even the automatic #1 or extra picks or free agents) in the playoffs. and the Bengals didn't fall back, they stayed even with a tougher schedule and more players on IR than any team in the league held them back from the playoffs last year as much or more than Palmer. Kitna also played what, 6 games? They were in eyeshot of the playoffs when he took over last year too but he faltered again.
