Subject: I'm taking Sam out of school....

I was lying in bed with Sam having a chat before he went to sleep last night. I initially figured that his line of the night would be the out of the blue comment, "You know, I just may love apple juice for the rest of my life." But then he blew that one away at the end of the following back-and-forth:

hey, Dad. You see this upside down triangle I made with my finger?
yes, Sam, that's very good.
Well, then if I take these fingers and make a regular triangle and stick it to the upside down one, you know what that is?
Sure, Sam. That's a diamond.
Well, yeah, but actually, it's a rhombus.
Is that what a rhombus is? I don't think I knew that.
yeah - (brief pause) - don't worry though. it's just a fancy college word.
