I played at a local bar last night (DJin' and karaoke) so I didn't see your post till just now. Lousy night. Silly ass owners didn't even advertise the gig then they were short so I gave them a break and worked for less than my standard fee.

Here's my New Year's resolution -- next year I'm working a joint that is willing to spend a little dough to advertise the gig so I get paid. I gave the owner a break because I play several parties for her there every year.

Good luck with the smoking. I have an Uncle who tried for years and years. Hypnosis, etc. I understand he's finally quit now, but I don't know the details of how he did it. Maybe one of those patch things?
