Tammy's youngest, Ronnie (the baby and buttplug), was around 3-4 and charged with the solemn responsibility of completely naming the new house cat/tiny ball of fluff (he could sit easily in the palm of my hand) already known as Jefferson, and the "Jerry" he came up with all on his own of course (for Garcia - his Mom's influence). Ronnie = Ronald Gentry III (his dad's email handle is quite fittingly RONG2@blah), so naturally Jerry Jefferson Gentry III is his surname.

Ronnie was just big enough to hold the full grown Jeff under the forearms and manage to haul him around hanging his feet inches above the floor ... i still laugh when i see that same glare from those eyes now.

I got custody of the damned cat in the breakup 3-4 or however many years ago it was because Tammy moved to a place that wouldn't allow pets and Jeff lived with me at Bill's, down at Boonesborough and now here. he's terrible travelling in cars and just shits all over the place so any trip to Illinois to be with them now would be out of the question. He was always my cat (sleeping at my feet on the bed) anyway.
