You will be stationed right up the street from my office.

There is a rail link now to and from JFK Airport. Called the AirTrain. It's very new. I've never ridden it. I BELIEVE that AirTrain costs $5 per person to take you from your terminal to Jamaica Station in Queens. From there, you would hop aboard the NYC subway system where the cost of a ride is $2 per person. I would take the "E" train to Manhattan and get out at the 53rd St/7th Ave. stop. You're then about 4-5 blocks from your hotel.

The more expensive, but obviously easier route, is to take a cab from the airport. The cab is a flat fare to Manhattan of $35, plus tolls. Not sure the best route from JFK to Midtown -- but I would imagine you are going to take the Queens/Midtown Tunnel which is $4 or $5 bucks. Add on $5 tip, and you're looking at $45, vs. about $14 for the AirTrain/NYC subway.

My cellphone is 347-512-2383. Best time is during working hours.

Oh, and I got a question for you. What the hell is your full name?!! Will the hotel room be in your name?
